Foundation

Significant topics not covered in the book: approximation to a given number of significant figures; cube roots; use of a decision tree to sort a collection of items

Items that may need to be reinforced while working through the book: financial transactions and calculations (69F); the suitability of the mean, mode or median in given circumstances(10B); the terms 'chord', 'arc' and 'tangent' (29A), vertex (38F)

Intermediate

Significant topics not covered in the book: flow diagrams including use of a decision tree to sort a collection of items

Items that may need to be reinforced while working through the book: trial and improvement methods (57D); graphs of the form y = a/x (57E)

Higher

Significant topics not covered in the book: simple linear programming

Items that may need to be reinforced while working through the book: financial transactions and calculations (9C); half-life of radio-active elements (39F)
